Dark Scrolls - A quirky side scroll adventure!
They don't make them like they used to—except when they do. Dark Scrolls is a quirky side-scroll adventure, but it’s really a time machine straight back to the golden age of the SNES. From the moment I booted it up the nostalgic 16-bit soundtrack hooked me and the endlessly fun gameplay kept me glued to the screen.
Controls
I'll cut straight to the chase here and say that this game puts you RIGHT into the action with very little explanation. Part of the SNES-era charm here is getting to learn from trial and error. I whole-heartedly believe this is the intention with this genre of "souls" like games. As an added bonus, there is also a digital game manual that is provided incase you were curious.

The characters
I love the reviewing the lore about each character. Remeber when games were heavily text based, and you had to rely on your imagination to bring your character to life? I feel like Dark Scrolls has done this for me again. Just enough details to make me want to explore more into the universe. I am continuously thinking of ways how they connect!
